GOED, the Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s, has opened registration for its GOED Exchange 2016 conference (www.goedexchange.com), which takes place February 2-4, 2016 in Tenerife, Canary Islands. With the theme, “Shaping the Future of the Industry,” the conference is designed to bring together all segments of the omega-3 industry to discuss the challenges and issues that impact the business.
With a host of expert speakers on the docket, the presentations provide new angles to help move the industry forward and offer out-of-the box ideas to impact businesses immediately. Highlights include:
• Special keynote and panel discussion on “The Omega-3 Trust Paradox”
• Google presentation on “How to Grow your Business Using ‘Big Data’”
• Omega-3 Science: Where Are the Research Gaps
• Kick Starting Innovation: Practical Advice for the Industry
• The Value of Non-RCT Research
• Closing Keynote: Quantifying the Science, Forecasting the Future
“Our team has spent a lot of time really thinking through the theme and goals for the GOED Exchange conference," said Ellen Schutt, GOED’s communications director and project manager of the GOED Exchange. “The event is designed to foster the exchange of ideas and bring the industry together to solve problems,” she said, “and we work very hard to make sure it’s not a typical industry conference."
This is also the first time GOED has moved the conference outside the United States, and a Ritz Carlton in the Canary Islands locale is not your typical conference destination either. “We are really excited with the location we’ve chosen," Ms. Schutt said. “Despite the exotic locale, the place is quite affordable, with hotel room rates less expensive than either of the past two events. We also did some early airfare research as we were making our decision, and flights from Europe, Asia and most U.S. cities were very reasonable," Ms. Schutt added. The weather in February is in 70-80 degrees F, making it a perfect location for outside networking events and socializing during the conference.”
