Holistic Primary Care, a practitioner-focused natural medicine publication, is anticipating its upcoming Practitioner Channel Forum to be held April 22-24, 2015 at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort. The conference will feature data from its 2015 practitioner survey with emphasis on physician specialists.
The Practitioner Channel Forum is an annual executive gathering focused on opportunities and strategies to capitalize on the rapidly expanding healthcare practitioner market for dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, medicinal foods, and natural products.
HPC’s latest practitioner survey not only provides specific insights regarding dietary supplements in primary care settings, but also provides new details in five previously unexplored specialty areas:
· Ophthalmology
· Pediatrics
· Cardiology
· Gastroenterology
· Obstetrics/Gynecology
“Through this year’s Forum, and new practitioner survey, we are working to provide specific guidance for targeting dietary supplements to particular healthcare specialty areas,” said Erik Goldman, editor-in-chief at Holistic Primary Care. “We looked closely at five distinct specialties, and how they are engaging with supplements and natural products. We also share insights regarding opportunities and challenges in providing dietary supplements through these practitioner categories.”
The Practitioner Channel Forum will explore condition-specific and specialty practice success stories as well as roadmaps for future opportunities in large healthcare systems. It provides compelling, interactive sessions designed to facilitate creative, strategic ideas on topics including: regulatory; supply chain; quality issues; and protecting brand value.
“The practitioner survey tells us a lot about how practitioners view and use dietary supplements in their practices, and sheds more light on specialty areas such as cardiology and pediatrics which could be significant new markets for practitioner-focused brands,” said Missy Lowery, senior marketing manager at Capsugel, and a partner in conducting the survey. “It provides new information to help create healthier relationships between practitioners, their patients, and the industry.”
