BI, a global full-service manufacturer of plant-based ingredients, marks 2018 as its 40th anniversary. In celebration of its “ruby” milestone, BI plans to showcase two unique and rosy-colored beverages, an apple cider vinegar lemonade and a hibiscus and beet green tea, at the 2018 International Food Technologists Expo in Chicago, IL July 16-18. BI will also sample functional popcorn at the event. BI invites customers and IFT attendees to join the team in celebrating 40 years of business “rooted in trust.”
BI’s offerings include plant-based powders and teas, standardized and ratio extracts, proteins, fibers, vitamin mineral premixes, custom blends, granular ingredients and other specialty processes. BI is recognized as a pioneer of a steam sterilization process, known as Protexx HP Green Steam, which is the industry’s only species-specific, organic sterilization method with a validated kill step. All BI ingredients are also tested for quality under the company’s Identilok species identification process, as well as undergo stringent quality analysis that includes heavy metal, pesticide and irradiation testing, among other items.
