Currently, Cyvex is re-engineering the antioxidant category with its “red” and “green” antioxidant portfolios. The red antioxidants include BioVin full spectrum grape extract, PomActiv pomegranate extract and BerryVin high-ORAC berry powder. PomActiv, a proprietary pomegranate derivative rich in phenolic compounds, is the newest addition to the red category. The green antioxidant portfolio features BroccoPhane broccoli sprout extract (sulfurophane) and BroccoSinolate broccoli sprout concentrate (4% glucosinolates).

Cyvex is also the exclusive distributor of BioVinca, which was obtained through an exclusive partnership with a European company called Gedeon Richter. Mr. Gluck explained, “One of Cvyex’s key strengths is our ability to secure and develop relationships with world-renowned growers, developers and manufacturers of research-based compounds. This is especially true in the case of our relationship with Gedeon Richter, the only supplier of pharmaceutical-grade vinpocetine in the world (BioVinca).”

The company recently added FishGenII and LactoCalciumP to its product portfolio. FishGenII fish-derived collagen joins ArthroColl chicken sternal collagen as a synergistic or alternative collagen-based supplement and LactoCalciumP pepsinated milk minerals joins Lacto­Calcium in the company’s line-up of milk-derived minerals.

Sharing his perspectives on quality, Mr. Gluck said, “In today’s highly competitive and stricter regulatory environment, raw material suppliers need to be held accountable down the line. Quality assurance every step of the way has never been more critical.” This is precisely why the company developed its Nutri­Print quality assurance system. Nutri­Print certification includes identity testing of incoming raw materials thr­ough FTNIR (a fingerprinting m­e­thod for raw materials), third party certification by independent laboratories for active ingredients, microbiology, heavy metals and even pesticide and s­o­l­­­vent residue when applicable.
