Minute Maid, a division of Coca-Cola, Atlanta, GA, has added two new products to its line of enhanced juices, which already includes its Heartwise variety with plant sterols for cholesterol reduction. The new juices include Minute Maid Active, which contains 750 mg of glucosamine HCL and Minute Maid Multi-Vitamin, which supplies a “good source” of 16 vitamins and minerals.
In other developments, Canada-based Coca-Cola Ltd. has introduced Minute Maid Fruit Solutions Omega 3 juice, which includes the MEG-3 food ingredient from Ocean Nutrition Canada Limited (ONC), Nova Scotia, Canada. This new juice blend from concentrate is available in Mango Orange Passion flavor and each 250 ml serving contains 50 mg of EPA/DHA from fish oil. Minute Maid Fruit Solutions Omega 3 also provides six essential nutrients, two fruit servings fruit and contains no added sugar. Minute Maid Fruit Solutions are also available in two additional flavors: Orange Strawberry Banana and Tropical Blend (pineapple, mango, orange).
