Don McKenzie, director of marketing for Nebraska Cultures, Inc., Walnut Creek, CA, passed away recently at age 73 in Palo Alto, CA, after a brief illness. Mr. McKenzie joined Nebraska Cultures in 2003 to lead the company’s marketing activities and specifically, to expand the company’s market presence in the nutritional supplements industry. Major contributions have been the introduction of the Dr. Shahani’s brand and the management of Dr. Shahani’s book release, Cultivate Health From Within: Dr. Shahani’s Guide to Probiotics, for broad distribution to the health industry’s buying public. He was committed to spreading the message of Dr. Khem Shahani’s legacy as a pioneer in the field of probiotics and their role in the health supplement industry. He is survived by his wife Cori, three children and three grandchildren.
