Schlenk Metallic Pigments is displaying their newest products at its both at the ACS. Among its offerings in metallic pigment technology is Decomet vacuum metalized pigments.
According to Michael Bauer, head of marketing at Schlenk, Decomet pigments have an extremely smooth surface, making it an ideal choice for variety of high performance coatings applications. “This leads to optimum reflection and extraordinary brilliance, resulting in a mirror-like finish.”
The extremely low particle thickness of Decomet provides excellent opacity and permits low use levels and cost efficiency. Schlenk’s Alucoil aluminum pastes were designed specifically for coil and can coatings. According to the company, Alucoil offers very good wetting properties, excellent pigment orientation and brilliance. Depending on the fineness and pigmentation rate, Alucoil pigments show very good shielding properties against UV radiation.
