Ingrid Atteryd, a leader in the Swedish healthcare business and managing director of the Swedish food supplements association Svensk Egenvård, was elected chair of Food Supplements Europe, and will serve a term of two years. Dr. Gareth Barker, VP Human Nutrition & Health EMEA at DSM will take up the role of vice-chair, and other Board positions have been evenly allocated between associations and companies. Food Supplements Europe has prioritized a number of areas for immediate action across the full supplement range, from vitamins and minerals to botanical ingredients. The new positions were appointed at the European trade association inaugural General Assembly in Brussels.
“This is great that the industry have come together under one umbrella communicating with one voice,” Said Ms. Atteryd. “There is great strength when pan EU companies work closely together with small and medium sized companies. I feel honoured to have this opportunity to lead Food Supplements Europe into future success and growth for the industry.”
